Cora Lawton is the Principal Landscape Architect and founding director of Green Associates. Cora has over a decade of experience in landscape architecture and project management. She has been the design leader of many landscape planning, agricultural, rural, commercial and industrial projects and has an abundance of experience in project managing design contracts.
She has particular skills in landscape assessment and planning and in the design of residential and commercial developments, agricultural developments, rural developments and environmental restoration projects. Cora’s written communications are of a high standard, she is well organised and efficient, and has a creative approach to design problem-solving. Her personal strengths include the ability to work with others, a high level of communication and integrity coupled with a positive attitude.
Cora has a broad plant knowledge which she combines with technical skills gained from her understanding of construction and the practicality of buildings within a design framework. This is attributed to her long family history within the construction and agriculture industries. She is committed to minimising risk at all times, and has an exceptional ability to analyse issues in both design and implementation phases and formulates considered and powerful design responses to her sites. Her project and design management style is inclusive and she builds this upon her strong ‘partnerships’ with clients, encouraging them to become a part of our team.
